Visioning Survey

The Visioning Future Excellence at Illinois Survey provided another venue for individuals to have input in this initiative. The survey was completely anonymous and voluntary. It asked the campus community to identify society’s most pressing issues and our campus strengths in these areas. Following the same two question format as the focus groups,  the survey asked the campus community to identify society’s most pressing issues and our campus strengths in these areas. The response options were modeled after what was learned at the focus group sessions.

Participants:

2055 people took the survey including:

  • 263 Tenure system faculty
  • 83 Other Academic or Instructional Staff
  • 238 Civil Service Staff
  • 447 Academic Professionals
  • 311 Undergraduate Students
  • 213 Graduate Students
  • 380 alumni
  • 74 community leaders

Survey Results:

As with the individual focus group sessions, the information gathered from the survey was used to create a word cloud. The word clouds indicate frequency, so that the words selected more often by the survey respondents are larger than the words selected less often.
